One More Day
(Poem about the Holocaust)
One more day
Was something normal to say
I was recalled to life
In an angry day as cold as ice
I worked to survive,
To stay alive
I always saw the same white camp
Where everything was a trap
They killed people as ants,
While I killed for my pants
The horror was over that winter day
When never again I had to say
There for one more day
